I Am Really Bad At This

Ok folks, hello...again. Since I decided to fall of the edge of the earth in the blogosphere, I thought I should climb back on. I had been going through some tough spots throughout the last couple of months. Depression and anxiety held me back and I gained even more weight. I also found out that I have PCOS and I am insulin resistant. Total bummer there; however, now I know why I put weight on so easily and why it is so hard for me to take it off. I joined Weight Watchers and I have been working out about six days a week. I am down almost 10 pounds. HOORAY! So, this blog, like mentioned before, will be taking a spin. It will focus more on health and beauty. Recipes, workouts, etc.

Love you all,
Ains

Holidays = Fresh Start

Happy Holidays, all!

Yes, I know...I fell of the Earth in terms of blogging. But, I am finally home for winter break and I am so ready to get back into blogging. This time, my blog is going to take a bit of a turn as far as topics that I talk about. I have been struggling with my weight and with insulin resistance. I've been very depressed about my weight and I have been upset with myself for letting it get to this point. I'm reaching out to my followers for support and love.

The main focus of this blog has been beauty reviews, but how can anyone feel beautiful if they aren't even happy with themselves? I want to be beautiful on the inside and out, and I think that is something that most people want. So, some of my posts on here will still be reviews, but mixed in will also be posts about my weight loss journey and what I have been eating etc.

So, I didn't forget about my blog. In fact, I think about it quite a lot. I just didn't have the time to really be devoted to it. But now I do :)

Love you all

Gettin Sexy!

So I need to lose weight. The problem is...I am insulin resistant. Basically  it is really difficult for me to lose weight and I gain easily. I had been on Metformin as a treatment, but my stomach was unable to handle the medication. Now i'm stuck waiting around until I am able to visit my endocrinologist again over winter break.

So I'm calling out for help (S.O.S!) If you have any workouts or healthy diets that you love, comment here and let me know about them! I have issues with staying motivated, so if you think you can help with that I'd love it!

Love you all!

Makin' a list and Checkin' it Twice

Hello all!
Oh my goodness, I would like to apologize. I haven't been very active on this blog due to the holidays, school, and stress. But really, I should turn to writing when i'm feeling overwhelmed. It always seems to help me relax and refresh my mind. So here I am at midnight refreshing my mind when, really, I should be laying my head on my fluffy pillow.

Anyways, lets talk about presents. A lot of people are searching for the perfect gift to wrap up and give to someone special for the holiday. Below, you will find a short little list of some of the places that I have shopped online for great gifts for my family and friends. These are my go-to sites because they always have something that fits each person on my list. If you're thinking about giving a gift card because you have given up on finding the perfect gift...DON'T! Maybe you just haven't found the right site yet...because when you do it's like hitting the jackpot. While gift cards are nice, they aren't very personal. True, holidays are not about gifts, but the gift you do give should have some thought and care put into it. I cherish the moments when people are opening the presents that I have chosen for them. Their reactions mean everything to me.

So enough jibber jabber....here's my list! I hope that you will take a look at some of these sites and perhaps you will even find the perfect gift!

1. Etsy: Etsy is a site where people sell and buy handmade items. Enough said! Most of the items on this site are fantastic and reasonably priced. You can find everything from clothing to jewelry, scarfs to purses, iphone cases to hats, and even vintage items. This is a good site to get sisters, cousins, and moms bought for.

2. Sephora: Sephora is a site where you can shop for makeup, fragrance, and more. Again, this is a good site to hit up if you are shopping for the women on your lists. Gift sets are also very reasonably priced at this time of year. They even offer sets that are free of shipping costs!

3. Uncommon Goods: My friend directed me to this site. It's full of nick-knacks. This is a good site to find stuff for the men in your life. There's even a section just "for him" if you need a little extra help!

So those are my top three. Of course Amazon is always an old faithful. Happy shopping everyone :)

Minerals By Bee: Sugar Smoothie Body Creme Review

Hey ladies!
Sorry that I have been MIA. I've been sick and extremely busy with school but I have finally caught up with everything and I have time to blog again. Today I will be doing a review on Sugar Smoothie Body Creme by Minerals by Bee. If you want to know more about this company, see my last post or visit mineralsbybee.com .

Lets get started. So I thought that I would really enjoy this product but I was disappointed. I can't say that it didn't work well, but I can't get pass the scent of it. It's supposed to smell sugary sweet, but to me, it smells like a bug repellent bracelet that I wore on vacation when I was seven. I didn't want this to be an unfair review, so I asked a few of my friends to smell the lotion. They actually enjoyed the scent and said that they would use the product.

One thing that I wasn't too fond on was the fact that there was glitter/shimmer in the lotion. The packaging did not indicate that this product had that feature. It's not that I don't enjoy a body shimmer, but I would like the packaging to indicate it.

I did like that this product is non-greasy. It rubbed into my skin well and left it soft without a greasy feeling afterwards.

Overall, I wasn't too happy with the product and I won't be buying it again, but I am looking forward to trying out my other samples from this company!

I just started my Instagram account so I would love some new followers :)

Minerals By Bee Preview

Hey ladies! Sorry I haven't blogged in awhile...school is catching up to me. Today I got my Minerals By Bee sample in the mail. I ordered this late last week and it already arrived in the mail today. Very impressed. The sample was free and can be found on their website--you only pay for shipping which was around $3 for me.  I haven't gotten a chance to try any of the products out yet--except for the mystery perfume. It smells absolutely amazing. I just wanted to share with you what came in the sample packet. All of the products I received are shown in the pictures to the right.

Below are the names and descriptions of each product (credit: mineralsbybee.com) The same product descriptions can be found on their site. Click the link above to go there now :) You can also click on the names of the products and they will take you to the product.
